Delete your Highway Heads data
You can delete your data at any time, with or without the app.
If you have the app
- Open Highway Heads and go to Profile.
- Tap Delete my data, then confirm.
If you're signed in, this deletes your account and everything stored with it. It also clears everything the game kept on your device.
Without the app
Email answers@highwayheads.com from the email address you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We'll confirm by replying to that address, then delete your account within 30 days.
Playing without signing in? Then we have no account for you. Everything stays on your device, and uninstalling the app removes it.
What we delete
- your account: email address and account ID;
- your game-made nickname and avatar;
- your scores, progress, and your list of questions already seen;
- your trip score summaries;
- your place on the leaderboard.
Questions you submitted to the community stay in the game for other players, but your nickname is removed. They're credited to “Highway Heads Player”.
What we keep, and for how long
- The question service's records for your phone, a random ID that isn't linked to your name, email or account. They're deleted right away when you use Delete my data in the app, except a scrambled “already deleted” marker kept for 30 days. Otherwise they're deleted within 90 days of last use.
- Reports flagging a question as wrong. These contain no personal information, and we keep them until the question is fixed, for 12 months at most.
- Totals with no IDs (for example, how many questions were played). These identify no one, and we keep them for 12 months at most.
- Where they're turned on, Cloudflare's request logs are kept for up to 7 days; they're off for our question services. Cloudflare may also keep recovery copies of service storage for up to 30 days.
- Road Rivals races are deleted within 24 hours after they end.
Email updates
To stop getting email from us, use the unsubscribe link in any email. To have your address deleted, email answers@highwayheads.com with the subject “Delete my email”.
