This page covers how we handle information collected through the highwayheads.com website — specifically, our email waitlist. It does not cover the Highway Heads app (separate policy).
What We Collect
When you join our waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address, submitted via the signup form
- Basic technical data our hosting provider logs automatically (IP address, browser type, timestamp) — standard for any website
That's it. We don't collect names, payment info, or anything else on this page.
How We Use It
We use your email address to:
- Notify you when Highway Heads launches
- Send occasional updates about the game, book, and Highway Heads news
We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party for their own marketing purposes. Period.
Who Handles Your Data
Two services touch your information:
- Netlify — hosts this website and processes form submissions (netlify.com/privacy)
- MailerLite — sends our email updates (mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy)
Both are reputable providers with their own privacy commitments.
Unsubscribe
Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us anytime at answers@highwayheads.com and we'll remove you immediately. No questions asked.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Highway Heads is a family game, but this email list is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not submit your email address — ask a parent or guardian to sign up instead.
If we become aware that a child under 13 has submitted their email address, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has done so, please contact us at answers@highwayheads.com.
California Residents (CCPA)
If you're a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we've collected about you
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we don't sell it — but you have this right)
