Acadia National Park

Maine

Acadia's main visitor contact station, Hulls Cove Visitor Center near Bar Harbor off Route 3, sits beside an entrance to the 27-mile Park Loop Road, which links Sieur de Monts, Sand Beach, Otter Point, Jordan Pond and Cadillac Mountain; the visitor center is open from May into October (currently listed as May 1 to October 31), with winter information at the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce. An entrance pass is required year-round: $35* per private vehicle for seven days, or $20* per person arriving on foot or by bicycle, with youth 15 and under free, plus an additional $100* for non-U.S. residents aged 16 and over unless they hold an annual or America the Beautiful pass. Driving Cadillac Summit Road also requires a separate $6* vehicle reservation, sold online in advance and not at the park, with the park's fees page listing May 20 to October 25 for 2026. The fare-free Island Explorer bus connects the park with nearby towns and operates typically from mid-June to mid-October, and riders entering the park still need an entrance pass.

*Fees subject to change, please check nps.gov for updated information.
