Arches National Park

Utah

The National Park Service says Arches National Park has over 2,000 natural stone arches, hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive rock fins and giant balanced rocks; from Interstate 70 (Crescent Junction) the NPS directions are to drive south on US 191 for 22 miles, and Balanced Rock is 9.2 miles and The Windows Section 12 miles from the entrance station and visitor center. The park is normally open year-round, 24 hours a day, with a private-vehicle entrance fee of $30*, and the visitor center is open daily except December 25. The NPS states that in 2026 advance timed-entry reservations are not required and that visitors may enter at any time during operating hours, although vehicles may be diverted from entrances when areas become congested; reservations continue to be required for Devils Garden Campground and for Fiery Furnace hikes. The NPS also says wait times at the entrance may be longer than an hour between March and October, and that on very busy days entries may be temporarily delayed.

Dinosaur Diamond Prehistoric Highway runs through here: the Federal Highway Administration designates it a National Scenic Byway, 480 miles through CO, UT.
