Nebo Loop National Scenic Byway

Utah

The Nebo Loop National Scenic Byway runs between Nephi and Payson through the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, with views of the Wasatch Range and 11,877-foot Mt. Nebo (the Forest Service's figure). Devils Kitchen, a stop along the byway, is described by the Forest Service as a geologic interest site with picnic facilities, a paved trail and an observation deck over red rock hoodoos; the trail is level and listed as accessible, and potable water is not available at the site. The Utah Geological Survey says the byway is closed to automobiles in winter, when it is groomed for snowmobilers, snowshoers and cross-country skiers, and gives I-15 exit 225 (Highway 132, Nephi) from the south and exit 250 (Main Street/Highway 115, Payson) from the north; no fee is stated.
